As we all may have experienced the PD150 engine has a known issue with camshaft wear.

I'm going to be purchasing a new cylinder head, and camshaft kit as one of my injector holes has been ruined by the garage I bought it off of by not torquing the injector holder down correctly and as a repercussion has acted like a pneumatic drill against the side of the bore allowing fuel to leak down into the cylinder head past the seals and into my oil! Not pleased.

So I started looking at camshafts and need to find one that will last, can anyone suggest a particular type or one specifically they have used from a seller?

I want to go on a long road trip to france in May so need this to be a hassle free fit and forget.

Many thanks in advance.

just fitted a new cam to the other halfs pd150
got a cold forged kit from my engine builder
it was a fai cam and followers with glyco bearings
i got the bolts etc from trade parts
i paid £300 for the complete kit/bolts and gaskets trade
also changed the oil and filter at the same time and replaced sump due to a airline crack(bloody speed humps)
