Random bing noise!? Help!

Hi everyone! I have a 2003 seat Ibiza.

Just had an MoT and service with our family friends.

I have noticed every now and again, more frequently at the moment. It makes a random ping noise whilst driving. Nothing comes up on the dash and I carry on driving fine. What is this!?

The only time my Ibiza binged when was the temperature outside dropped below 4deg but the display on the left reflected this.

I have dodgy lighting on my dash anyway! I have the airbag one which glitches if I hit a pot hole and my engine management always is on and there is no problem with it!

Sounds like the temp sensor is firing because of your dodgy electrics

The ping is usually when the outside temperature drops to 4 degrees or below as Chris says. If the engine management light is on, then there is a problem somewhere. Airbag faults sounds like a loose wire or dodgy connection, you should get more clues from a proper diagnostic scan.
