Hi guys. It's been a hard enough journey trying to use this forum so please bare with me as I attempt to give you guys a write up on a special seat Leon.

As we know this is car is/was very well known on this site, and basically since the sale it's been abused. So basically is like to give you guys a little read up and a few photos to put your minds at rest, as it's in somewhat a safer place now lol.

Ok so I purchased this car in November 2013, my reason for purchase.. Basically my best pal Jack Angel had sadly passed away the month previous to this is a bike accident so I got offered the car ( which was in a state)

I started off by having a look at the bodges me old best mate had done to the car, which I have some photos of trust me, some including jubilee clips to hold the intercooler and boost pipe together as well as at the top where the alloy bayonet coupler goes! The back of the car was like the ace of spades, and there was more red bull cans inside than I had ever seen before!

So, the day I collected the car I had a friend follow me, the plumes of black smoke was nearly unbearable and quite frankly embarrassing. I sat down with my pal Aaron kettle and had a chat as to what the best way to attack the car was. We noticed a few things wrong strait away, including abliterated intercooler, H clip missing and most pipe work was loose.

So after lengthy chats about the car and what's best for it, we wrote a list as to what parts I needed to buy for the car this included
2x toyo proxes t1r
Pd150 intercooler
Bayonet couplers
Floor mats ( drivers hAd worn completely through)
Service kit
Maf sensor
Replacement jubilee clips.
Sfs radiator hose in blue
New headlight bulbs and brake light bulbs
I am still trying to find the part where I add photos, so I'm hoping after uploading this readers ride thingy it will let me lol. :banned:

One Saturday we planned to start the cars operation, removing all that we could off the front end to get the old sh*t intercooler off. Aswell as this all boost pipes were taken off cleaned and dried. We removed all radiator hoses that we had upgraded hoses for. By this time we were tired and couldn't be bothered any more especially in the rain!
Waking up Sunday morning looking out the window to a poor Leon wasn't what I wanted so I rang up Aaron and we cracked on, by the end of the day we had everything back together including bayonet couplers radiator hoses and new intercooler all back on. This just leftt the bumper and lights to be put back on!

So we started her up, and took her for a little test after warming her up.
Baring in mind I had driven the car a lot previous to owning it,( I had to take jack to wales to buy her, so the deal was if I took him I get insured on the car, and he agreed!) the difference in power was so surprising. Smoother faster and not much lag lower down the rev range.
To say I was happy was an understatement.

The car could still do with a few bits and pieces including new brake pads for the ate big
Brake kit, which if people don't mind could give us a part number lol. The alloys will be put back to diamond cut, bumper needs a decent re spray and cold air fair looks like a birds nest so that will also be replaced! Another nit pick would be to take the ate calipers off get them blasted and re painted.

Yesterday the Leon got treated to an auto Glym special inside and Henry the Hoover had a good 2 hour session in there. To be fair I don't think the carpets had been up since Jon jay sold it as there wasn't a spec of dirty under them, and reading through his thread I can tell how much of a perfectionist he was. The outside had a quick wash as time was getting on, so this weekend it will get another clean, wax and polish , probably auto Glym super resin and some dodo juice wax.

Unfortunately I cannot find the tab to upload photos which I'm gutted about as the car is something I want to show you guys, as I understand everyone was a little concerned as to it's current status. When I solve this issue I hope you guys will be happy with my progress. I hope you've enjoyed the little Monday morning read!

Go again guys! Just a few photos to add to the collection.

Here's the brake pads I'm after?! As you can see all the pipe work is off, and the apexi got itself a fresh clean out!

Here's the bad boys which I had sanded down, then I realised I should have taken then off completely so this is the next thing on my list to do! Get them looking fresh!

After the deep clean I didn't have time to get all the bodywork cleaned as I would like so Sunday looks like it's going to be a busy day for me! Let's see what these naughty products can do lol

I haven't had much experience with the pre glaze but got given it for free, anyone used this before ?
Since doing this thread the less I'm thinking of selling her! Enjoy your read guys.

Hi Billy,

You can get the brake pads from Eurocarparts. I would also change the gearbox/diff oil urgently too.

Hi there dude. I have contacted euro parts, they are about as much use as a chocolate teapot.
Will be giving it the service soon, so I will add gearbox oil on the list of things to do. Did you ever use your btcc splitter? And whoever owned the car before jack to the Hughes strut brace out, add holes lol. And no r32 steering wheel !

I sold the rear strut brace as I traded the car into BMW. Same went for the r32 wheel and BTCC splitter. I would also inspect the pipework going from the turbo. That was also custom made however I have a feeling may need a new seal if it has been abused.

Hi mate, I really do not know part numbers. I knew a chap ages ago from euro car parts that got me the discs and pads replacement. You definitely need to keep at them or worst case ring Ate.
