Hi there, new to the forum; with the boot Cupra symbol badge, it seems that the approved used Cupra's don't seem to feature the power output model badging underneath.
Does anyone know when this was introduced on the Cupra.

Also has anyone opted for the screen upgrade with the 6.5 inch

Cheers, James

For me the extra standard equipment on the 280 made the decision. A 265 speced to the level of a 280 would end up being more expensive.

That said if yo don't want the toys, then there is nothing wrong with the 265!

I'd have been tempted if I'd wanted a 3 pedal car. I could happily live without the shat nav, black mirrors and definitely the 19" wheels.

I was about to say exact same, plus I am used to DSG now and the 265 don't get that either.

Purely out of interest, why would anyone buy a 265 rather than a 280?

I would have gone for the 265 if they did a 5 door version. As others have said, you save cash on not having the sat nav (pile of crap) and it comes on normal 18" alloys instead of the stupid machined alloy 19".

Three door only though, so it was a non starter.

Same train of thoughts here too, especially these wheels - constant worry!

However I have a feeling the 265 has chrome interior trim where the 280 has piano black, and I much prefer the piano black. The 265 also has a smaller rear spoiler like the FR, the 280 spoiler is deeper.

They had a pre registered 265 in the dealers when I bought mine, it was up for about £21k with about 10 miles on so basically new, good deal at that price and it looks like it sold quickly unlike their 3dr 280 demo which is still there.

I agree on the 18" wheels, I think there is a reason they are standard on Golf R/S3 etc. I imagine the ride quality would be better with the higher tyre wall, anyone tried them?

suspension differences aside, coming from a different branded car with 18/215/40's to a 280 with 19/235/35's i've noticed a lot more road noise than i though i would considering this cabin has significantly improved build quality and sound deadening than my old one. the 18's took a fair beating from pot-holes, im even more in fear of hitting any now.

The difference in side wall height between a 225/40x18 tyre and a 235/35x19 is only about 7mm. I can't imagine that there is going to be a massive difference between the two.

As for road noise, that will have more to do with the make of tyre than the size of it.

I wouldn't worry to much about potholes if I were you as the difference in side wall height between a 215/40X18 tyre and the Leons 235/35X19 is a massive 3.75mm! That just about equates to the difference between a new tyre and one which is nearly worn out...........
