When some selfish **** slams their Audi TT door into your Leon this is the result .... but the door brace bonded to the inside of the door skin runs just above the crease so no access from inside to sort the dent ... its a body shop job.

Oh and no note, no CCTV and no reg just a £300 bill :censored:

I guess the external door design makes them vulnerable to this type of thing but the way the door is reinforced inside doesn't help when you want it put right :(

 :wtf:

Really sorry to see that mate. Call a few paintless dent guys, there is a possibility it could be pulled out (attaching a pulling tool with a special glue and gently easing it out ).

Good luck with it, gutted for you.

That really pis*'s me off, had it happened to me on a few occasions, I now try and park on the other side of supermarket carparks, although even with all the empty spaces to choose from, some arse will still often come and park right up close to my car

even had someone do it once whilst I was sitting waiting in the car for someone, couldn't believe it. then when I got out and confronted then about it they were like it's only a small scratch on your door, ok I said if that's what u think, strangely though they suddenly change their tune after I whacked my door in to the side of their car whilst getting back into mine :D

Not me but a friend of mine makes a note of the cars parked either side and behind him or in front of him... he has never had to use this info so far

:( That's 5hi7, I feel for you.

I've been on the receiving end of a few car park dings and know how you feel. The effort you go to in order to keep your pride and joy clean and well maintained and some selfish twunt undoes it all in a second. :censored::censored::censored:

Not had this for a long time now, as when I go shopping (Asda) I park next to the staff fag bit, as there is always someone there. Plus as it is quite far away from the entrance all the lazy/dozy b*****ds don't park that far from the door, as too far to walk.

Grrrrr.... hanging is too good for them. If I was in charge these dickheads would be made to pay in pain. Pliers -> toenails, toothpicks -> b*llocks, that kind of thing.

Counts to 10, deep breaths ...., it's only metal. It'll be good as new when fixed.

Pliers with poo on ..... Really, really hacks me off this. Fkn inconsiderate w@nkers. Last time GF went shopping in Leon I sat in car and snarled at anyone who came close....
Went to Tesco's in Pi55rat other day, out of habit parked far away from entrance, 5+ spaces either side. Sat in car on phone , some knob in a Hyundai parks right next to me :censored: and his fat moose of a missus proceeds to try to squeeze her lardy bulk out next to me. I cleared off and went to Asda......;)

How can he demonstrate if something does happen? Also, cars come and leave...

Really sorry for what happened to you Slipps :( That's why when I park I prefer the quietest corner possible even though it means more walking.

You pay a small fee to the dvla and they will give you the driver's details if you have the registration number (perfectly legal as they damaged your car)

You then go round to visit them with your pliers ;) (probably not legal) :D

Got to agree with Julian1977 here.

Example - you mate takes a photo of a RED car parked next to him.

That car leaves without causing any damage

another red car parks up and does cause damage - then leaves.

how would he know ?

Mine wasn't a really a serious suggestion:)

as you rightly said how do u know or more importantly prove who did it anyway, and even if you can, sadly it's often more hassle than its worth to pursue it :)

Feel for you, that's an absolute sickener and would make your blood boil.

I've had it happen to cars in the past, have spent a lot of money on paintless dent repairs and paint to the point where I parallel park everywhere, and if it's a case of going somewhere which means public parking we do it in herselfs car. You just can't have nice things.

Looking at the OP's picture I would think somebody hit that pretty hard. I would be surprised if it was done deliberately by some ******** with a jealous streak.

Parking as far away from the store entrances as possible is good advice The sort of people that are morbidly obese and smack into somebody door by accident wont want to walk far and other potential offenders are either in a hurry or lazy and don't give a crap about anybody else's car.

I even try to park near to somebody who takes pride in their own car, they are less likely to want to damage their own vehicle or anybody else's.

Cheers guys tbh what's done is done I can't change it and it'll be right as rain in a months's time!

The annoying thing is thing is I did park right at the back of the car park where the spaces are on a curve so they're wider than normal and I made a mental note of the TT which has longer and heavier doors than your average car. It was extremely windy and it was parked nose in and I reversed in so the damage is consistent with the TT being the culprit, not that I can prove anything.

Oh and just the observation that when you do find an empty car park people always park next to you ... I'm sure some psychoanalyst could have a field day trying to work that one out.

It's almost a year to the day that some peach dragged her car down the side of my wife's car in the same car park while I watched ... and she tried to deny it but eventually coughed up for the bill.

And relax ... :)

This I do the exactly the same and park as far away as possible and when I come back I can guarantee a car will be parked next to me when they have the whole car park spaces to choose from. Very annoying lol
