Looking for a set of wind deflectors for a seat Leon s tdi 1.6 5 door 14 plate, anyone recommend any that I could buy the car is black, first seat Leon bought it last week and is completely standard so starting to do small things to it tints, New alloys and wind deflectors

Bought and fitted these to mine the other week, they are tinted a smoky black colour, so should look very nice on your black car.

Following video may help you, as it did me, not exact type of deflector but the principle is the same, I think my Heko ones are better.

First track day in the leon at Brands, impressed with how well it lapped. Fuel was down to 10.5mpg lol. My nephew who races in the Stock hatch series took it out and was impressed too.

Busy day indeed! The bumper & splitter look great. That's a nice mod for the clovebox too. Have you got the coding for the radio carbon look please? I like the look of that.

Does the Carbon look stay on in the back round when radio, phone etc is on in the display ?? or just on start up and status screen.
Loving the front bumper and wrapped bits to.

Cheers fella, that's the next mod sorted. Already had a shed load of stuff changed with VCDS so I'll be giving a friend the nod to do this.;)
Did you do the wrapping yourself or buy the car like that. I'm thinking of a carbon look on the roof and mirrors !!

Not today, but last week, took my TDI FR 190 from Warwickshire to Barnsley up the M1 for a wedding to go to in the week, the next day on my way back I stopped by Alton Towers, never drove in from the north before, a much more fun route in. So a bit of a round trip over a couple of days. I forgot how relaxing and not tiring the Mk3 is at motorway journeys, especially the TDI.

Also, I don't think I've ever seen 65MPG out of my car before on a journey, I'm so used to 45-50 most days.

just had a quick look at this.

When using VCDS
select 5F
Then coding
Then click on long coding helper
Go down to byte 17

When you get there you will see it does read 00000001

The only way to get a reading of 00000010 is to untick bit 1 and to tick bit 2
( You can watch the code change as you do it )

The system accepts the new coding but it doesn't change the display to carbon.

Wonder if you need a later firmware for it to work.

Hi there i used the latest version of odis not vag com one thing to note is odis will rest the unit completely after a coding change. what I suggest you do is after you change the coding hold the power button on the radio for 30 seconds and it will reset it this should apply the skin let me know how you get on I'm not 100% on vag com as I have always used factory software I just no the coding should read 00000010
Apologise if I miss lead you on the bit change i just assumed on vag com bit 7 and 8 had to be changed that's why I put the coding up to show how it should look
