Very nice car dude...
When u did ur pcv removal. Is it just that simple or did it need mapping out or resitors etc.

Thank you. It really is simple and I didn't need to map it out or anything along them lines. Just blanked off the hole under the inlet mani and job was a gooden :D

Nice clean car mate

I have picked up the same dipstick holder, does it go over plastic oem one?

Thanks you mate.

Nah it replaces the plastic tube altogether. Was a pain as I had to cut the handle off of the oem one as well and put the metal level guide into the new handle! Never again!

Been a while since I last did a big-ish update. As with every winter I haven't really done too much, but with the car only doing about 300 miles in over 5 months it's given me more time to tinker about with the engine bay without the worry of using it for work the next day.
Anyway the major change under the bonnet was the different catch can, which this time have 19mm inlet and outlets. Plus the fact I have re-routed the pipe work to make it a whole lot neater, oh and changed to braided hoses for extra security.

Secondly I bought some black wrinkle paint and I have gone slightly nozzle happy with a few parts, but imo it makes the bay look a more subtle rather than the gloss black that I had previously.

Started off with buying one can but then bought another as I was loving the look it gives.

Heatshield was covered as well.

Other parts that I've painted are:
Battery cover
OEM cold air feed
Plastic covers in front of battery
Metal bracket under inlet cover

I might even give the slam panel a coat of it in the summer time.

Next was the new catch can.

and with it fitted, this time I have vented it into the atmosphere rather than back through the TIP, only because the pipe would not reach round into the TIP and would look too messy otherwise.

From the above photo you can probably see that I've given the alternator a lick of paint as well.

Hose finishers for the catch can T piece.

Also managed to fit one of the Creation motorsport coolant hoses, and a word of warning if you do attempt it then they need cutting, especially the one below as it catches the fan, luckily the fan has caught it slighty but I've managed to clear it....just. Check the video for just how close.

The crackle black finish looks good mate ;)

Thank you, came out better than I thought it would tbh.

Wrinkle paint came out well, any tip's as i have a a few parts to do, ive heard its all about the heat gun...

Considering I did it on a cold day it didn't come out bad. Just spray in 3 different directions, making sure you leave 5 mins between coats. After the third coat just blast it with a heat gun/ hairdryer. The paint reaction is all in the heat so bare that in mind :D

Bit of an update: I finally have a front mount intercooler on! I should have done this mod a while ago but never really got the chance to. Wasn't a hard job but doing it myself was just a little time consuming as I wanted it to be perfect.

Anyhooo here are a few shots of the process:

Old twin cooler setup off

Cross beams cut for the new FM to slot into, also painted satin black to prevent rust coming through.

Bottom brackets to support the cooler

Pipework on and top brackets in place for extra support.

I double clamped each pipework except from the core just to be extra safe just incase any pop off under hard boost. Last thing anyone wants when you've put the bumper back on!

Crash bar also cut courtesy of my friend from work, he made the effort to spot weld the backing back onto the crash bar so it at least keeps a bit of strength, all about the little hidden things ;)

The final result

While the car was up in the air, I thought I might as well change the oil as it's been a year already. Also replaced the OEM top mounts to Polybush ones with new bearings, and both stabiliser links as they were shot!

Finally I have 6K HID main beams to go with my Dip beams, ballasts are all tucked away cleanly under the headlights.

And that's it, have to say the car pulls so much better mid - top end, such a huge difference and would recommend it to anyone. For £230 and at least a couple of days to fit - it's well worth the money.

Next up I will be getting a better TIP to my CM one, will probably end up getting the Badger5 V2 rather than the V3 reading reviews. Stage 2 within touching distance now!
