Leon Cupra Secondary Air Pump Question

Has anyone purchased a new air pump from Ebay? Wondering if it fitted and worked ok?

Can buy it cheaper direct from China but it'll probably incur customs charges and extra expense if it's faulty.

From what i have heard when the SAI pump dies most people just rip it out.

Forge do a blanking plate for like £15.

Just a thought.

You need a resistor as well is that correct? Any links to what I need?

Also will the EML still come on?

Eml light will come on . Mine throws up a code . Will be putting this back in very soon

Do you know why yours stays on cupraslayer?
Think they can be mapped out

It has probably split in half where the rivets are. Have a look at the rivets, they are probably wrecked, does it sound like a hoover when cold? Just drill them out and replace with nuts and bolts. Cheap and easy. If you can fit the ebay pump you can do that.

I'll have a closer look at it, really need to get it up on a ramp.
