There must be a good few of you who have been in the same situation.
I am finding it hard to justify (in my head) spending £1000...inclusive of remap cost... to complete the preparation needed to take my Toledo to Stage 2 readiness. Is there really that much difference out on the road between the 2 stages ? I am currently running 212bhp and 229 torques, and although quick, there are times when i wish i had that bit more.I know the engine is good as it has a FSH and made 186bhp before the first map.

Well you have just answered your own question . ' you want that little bit more ' .
Not quite sure where you got £1000 from

Cost
Fmic £200
Dp/Decat £100
4bar fuel reg £25
Back box £60
Honda 2000 filter £ 13

Just got to look for the bargains bud .
Only problem is then you want more again . THEN you start into £1000s

I went straight to a custom map, wouldnt say its full stage 2 as i dont have a FMIC yet and am hunting a few lost ponies through something but i have been told full stage 2 is a good upgrade from stage 1, currently at 218 but have another 15 or so to look forward to :)

My whole car has been on bargains from the bay, not crap but just biding my time for the right price for the right thing...means a 2 grand car doesnt turn into a 4 grand car overnight!

2.5 downpipe with sports cat already fitted.
SFS Tip...the big one...fitted.
Cone air filter fitted.

Fmic with all pipework for £200 ? Where from ?

I was budgeting....

2.5 catback exhaust £450 fitted
Remap cost £250
Fmic setup £300.

Also been told that a 4 bar Fpr is only required for the Revo remap.

eBay - toyo sport would be more then enough for what you require . They maybe a little more now , but can't imagine that much . Mine was stage 2 revo so the 4bar was needed .

A £200 ebay special i believe is all you need for a ko3 turbo car, the wellycooler is a proven cooler but more effective at doing what is does for ko4based cars and can be had for under £250 with a bit of fiddling and twisting to fit. An ebay kit with at least 2.25 pipework is perfect...just get one with MAP sensor built in or its another £35 to Mr Forge

Mine has all the exact modifications stated above. toyosport cooler. Cobra catback etc and I managed to get 225bhp and 285lb/ft out of it at 131,000miles. The lot cost me under £1000 inclusive

I can be very short about this: yes

I also went from stage 1 to stage 2, from about 212BHP (stage 1) to 261BHP (stage 2, with 7L Bio Ethanol), was a totally different car.
