4WD or Not 4WD

That is the question. You see, every time I put my reg into a car parts site, it comes up with Seat Leon Cupra TDI (which I'm expecting) Synchro (which I'm not).

My car is definitely FWD, as I've just rebuilt the back suspension n brakes I should know. But iirc, Synchro is the designation for 4WD, looking at my build sticker in the boot, it reads Topsport4 1.9.

So was it meant to be 4WD? Or have I got things confused?

Not 100percemt on this but I'm sure AWD was only available on European cars. I don't think the UK ever got the option. Don't quote me on that though. If we did get the option then they are very rare!!

The AWD system was part time I think. Mainly FWD and assisted the rears when they lost grip.
