Just booked in to have all my calipers refurbishhed and remanucatured. Found out at the weekend they do a drive in drive out service which will be much easier as saves me having to have them removed etc. So booked in for 24th October. A while away but its £770 so gives me time to put some pennies away lol.

There workl does look awesome. Now the wheels have been refurbished the calipers are annoying me even more lol

Id sooner do it myself than pay that money!lol

Im fussy amd the finish will never be perfect doing myself. Plus I got a caliper on the back that slightly sticks sometimes. So least this way they will all be as good as new with all new pistons seals etc.

They ain't by any means perfect, but both the rears done for £20 all in including new seals! Fronts can be done for £25 each inc seal kit and brembo decal!! I can understand anyone being a perfectionist! But not at that cost!! But hats off too you mate you love your motor! Nothing wrong with that!

Rear calipers are available from sere from just over £100 each. And you know they're new and genuine.

That's a good idea get them to do the fronts and just buy some new rears. Do love the car mate and would never sell it so don't mind spending money on it.

Brilliant idea, that's bound to save a few quid anyway! You could spend what you save on the missus then!!!! Or, stick it away towards a massive turbo!!!lol

Leaky rear brembo brake caliper LCR

I got them on fleabay! No bleed nipples or pistons! just all the seals needed for the rear calipers including the boots for the slider pins! They vary in price, you can buy cheaper than the ones I bought!

Hi SlimsLCR.
Did you do this because the calper was loosing brake fluid.1 of mine has a bad leak and wondered if new slider pins would solve.Clean it all down and the boots were full of crap but working.Still leaks though and wondering whether to just stick a refurb caliper on as got worse since i had new pagid pads on rear:confused:

Leaking Caliper

Hi Big John
Thanks for the photos. Are you saying that you need to strip off the caliper to fit new seals?
If so where did you get the seals from?Is it it a big job-think i can get away with just the one:)

I done mine because one was sticking, its not difficult to refurb a caliper, but I would buy pistons too, regardless of the condition of the original ones! You tube is a good place to get an idea of how to do it, but if your not confident then just buy a refurbed one, less hassle for you!

Cheers-Slims/BigJohn

Is this a leaking caliper
IMG_0594.JPG

When pull sleeve back it feels dry but the rest of the caliper seems misted

Buying a refurb rear brembo caliper

Slims
How does this work-do you have to send yours in exchange or just end up with a spare?

Most who offer refurbished calipers will offer you a few quid for your old ones, but its up to you weather you wanna keep them or not, they will still sell you what you want if you want to keep them! You just wont get any cashback!
