Hi,

I'm looking to upgrade my Fog Lights to L.E.D's.

How do you access them and also any recommendations of L.E.D fog lights?

Cheers

Access via from wheel arch liner. You don't have to remove the wheel but helps with access. It's also a little fiddly with screw removal (if removing the unit like I was doing)

Sorry can't help with the LED bit.

I and others on here have successfully used mitec bulbs which are a good color match for the leds. There is a choice of color temps and no error messages and much cheaper £12 ish

Isn't there a screw on the outside to remove the fog light assembly?

depends on the model. S and SE are easy and can be done from the front. FR is from the back only, and if you have the extra large washer bottle then you almost have to disassemble the whole left front to change them over.

Thanks for all the replies.

I have the SE model.

What type of tool do I need to remove the fog light cover?

Also, any guides available?

Cheers

There is a plastic 10mm bolt on the left and on the right side the clip just pulls off with a quick tug.

Thanks for the reply Fmxvxx.

It looks like a torx screw head on the plastic bit.

Cheers

Would you mind taking a picture? all the previous foot guards rests I've done on the mk3 have been the combination I listed but I might be wrong Seat are very good at changing things around in MY's without saying anything.

Ah that bolt is on the side trim next to the foot rest (hard to tell from the closeness of the pic but it is indeed a torx bit t20 or t25 most likely a T20 bit.

There's a couple of access panels to the rear lights, they might help?

Also has anyone got a link for these mtec bulbs?

I just tried to remove the screw at the front, beneath the fog lights, as mentioned above, but the plastic frame wont move. How hard did you pull it out? I didnt want to break anything :)

I prised mine out with a screwdriver but wrapped round a cloth first and was very careful so as not to damage anything.
