If you can get some uk road legal soft compound auto cross tyres (dmack or r888 soft) they are great for rwyb days.

I don't believe I was doing 119 @ the line, but that's what they put on the paper and said I was, I looked at my speedo and was doing more like 111/110 but hey ho, wanna get down Santa pod as apparently better times are possible

Yeah, makes sense mate and much more official. Sounds like there speed trap needs a good calibration if it's nearly 10mph out (factoring in speedo inaccuracies). It would of still been a good crack though I'm sure? ;)

Are you modded at all?

LOL. Thanks Ben, I have that vid as well. To be fair it was a crap 60ft time which makes the 1/4 mile time even more impressive.

Absolutely mate.. You just need to pull your finger out and get it mapped now ;)

There's not much on the net regarding mapped Mk3 Cupras from what I have seen, but I can only imagine them being a fooking animal once rolling given the results the Golf and S3's are getting and them being lighter with less wheels to pull..

I think I should be worried tbh :(

I cant post links yet... but just watched a video on you tube: stock manual - 14.1 on a non-preped runway, with a bummed launch.

I'm pretty confident a stock manual car is good for high 13's no sweat.

I reckon I could of got sub 13's with a better launch but ****ed it up, also with better tyres, so at Santa pod easy 12's

In my opinion a stock manual could just get into the 13's but it would have to be a good launch. I reckon mine would do a 13.5 with a good launch and with the supersports on but mines dsg. A mapped manual may squeak into the 12's at pod but it woukdnt be easy because of the launch.

A mapped 280 is about 350-360 fly wheel HP right? So that makes for a 250bhp/tonne car.

On a street tyre (best you can hope for is 2.1 60ft really) I would bet money on low 13's - 13 flat.

For 12's in both a manual and DSG i'm thinking a drag radial is required.

For example the Americans often use Nitto NT555R as a street legal radial for this purpose.
