Spent a few hours giving the FR a well needed clean.

Snow foamed, left for 5 minutes, rinsed, washed with shampoo. Rinsed again and dried with a waffle weave. Snow foamed a second time and rinsed one final time.
Polished with SRP then P21s on top.
Plastics and tyres treated with Megs tire gel.

There not as anti theft as you think. Just unscrewed the old one and then you just give it a good pull and it comes out. The stubby one was £3 from EBay.

Did a round trip to Edinburgh this weekend.

Filled the tank up on Friday, done 450 miles. Only used three quarters of a tank of petrol.
Pretty pleased with that because I wasn't hanging about on the drive home :)

well today i had my cam belt, water pump and auxiliary belt done by James at VDS performance in west sussex. if anyone from the south east is looking for a reputable vag specialist, i would highly recommend him. The other half has been taking her stage 1 mk5 golf gti to him and have always had such high quality work and service from him. His knowledge and advice is second to none. if you check out vds performance on facebook you will see the customer reviews! absolute 5* vag specialist and the only person i trust with my car besides me! top job and will be going back to have james fit all my stage 2 + goodies once funds allow!

Well, yesterday tbh but..................

Swapped xenon bulbs over to ascertain fault. Not the bulbs.

Somehow managed to swap the ballast/control units over without removing headlamp units/front bumper.

Bingo! Faulty control unit duly ordered.

That was AM

PM I backed it into a friends wall.......................................:cry::cry::cry:

Today I washed it, yesterday I had the alignment done by AMD. The rear was all twisted out of shape, but back on rails now.
