Got an emissions light on, after a quick scan it turns out that #4 glow plug is faulty
A trip to TPS and I've got 4 new glow plugs to be fitted, just need to get my 10mm long socket now ;)

every since changing my rear disc and pads last week, the cars has been pulling great. it seems the lag i was experiencing was due to the rear brakes maybe sticking and holding it back and the turbo not having sticky vanes.

Gave her a full wash, Tardis, clay, polish and wax again. Must admit the paint feels like glass :D

So with the delivery of my 10mm long reach socket, I decided to replace my glow plugs..........or so I though:cry:
The first one undone with a bit of resistance but kept turning:confused: tried to tighten it up but again just kept turning :censored:[:@]
Gave the second one a try just in case I was doing something wrong but the same happened!!!
After much more searching this is a common issue and requires the glow plugs to be drilled out :(
Now I can buy a kit and do it myself but have sent a message to this place for a quote:

Hopefully they not too dear

Broken glow plug removal Kit is £32 off ebay last time I looked. Someone also posted a while back that they got their broken plug drilled out for about £90 and posted details of who did the job.

Replaced my bumper for a less scratched/ bumped one and replaced the drivers headlight so that it points the right way now!

Got MOT coming up so i have some led brake bulbs to go on as one of mine has stopped working and for the first time in ages I've actually worked on my car so feelin good :)

No one was hurt ... got brake checked on the motorway and hit a volvo 4x4 at about 10 mph

Nose was down on brakes and his tow bar went straight above the 'S' and took out the slam pannel, bonnet, radiator ect.

Wings are straight and going to cut the bonnet catch off tomorrow to take a look a the chassis legs ... but I think they are OK from what I can see

Mate, that's a good sign to a degree, because that would be a write off! I hit a car years ago in an escort gti, doing about 25mph, hit a parked motor, and my bags didn't go off lol lets hope mate it's just done the centre of the slam and pulled it away! Hope the chassis legs are ok mate

I have many parts which could make repairing much cheaper

I might have to take you up on that offer :D

making a list of bits I need over the weekend so that I have an idea of what my wallet can expect

Insurance assessor is going to look at it on Monday morning

got brake checked..... move out the fing way you .... Bahh! Hate them people!

My mate hit a deer with his Leon, airbags never opened. Good brakes and good tires prevented a much harder hit.
I think airbags are for much more serious cases, well less thing to replace.
