I know that feeling very well! Kerbed my Cupra alloys, I was gutted. I think I should be able to get it out with some 400, 1500, 2000 sandpaper and some fine wirewool with a bit of autosol as its only on the polished bit. Time will tell when I can eventually be bothered.

And that's not a problem, just want to get an idea. How much did it set you back if you don't mind me asking?

You can't really tell they're kerbed when the alloy is dirty, but when it's clean it sticks out like a sore thumb! There's absolutely no rim protection on them :(

Here's those images in link format (sorry, can't get this site to show the images on Dropbox):

Do you have any pictures of your 3DSM alloys by chance?

Why not try that sandpaper with wirewool and autosol? Should bring them up lovely, you've got nothing to loose! And try this link for the 3SDMS on mine, sorry I can't do the url hotlink. My phone crashes every time I try https://www.dropbox.com/sh/uupdd7e1osm69cd/AADUNOC2dNgIjWdlFjvcJh9ya?dl=0

Also how much did your roof cost you? I need a black roof in my life

They look smart!

Think I paid £50 for the wrap off eBay and I did it myself, used a hairdryer to heat it up and it came out great :)

Thanks! They look much better in person and I was limited for space when taking them as I just took them with my phone. If you get a good angle and give them a good polish they look 1000x better. That's not bad at all, looks like it's been done professionally!

I like them, never seen alloys like that before on a MK3!

On another note, did you notice a big change in ride quality or handling or speed when you dropped down to 18s?

I prefer the 18s to be completely honest with you, the ride is a lot less bumpy but the handling is still excellent but that may be because I've got mitchillins on them

I'm no fan of the original 280 or the multispokes but I think a red car would be better with all black wheels. Has anyone pics of black painted 280 wheels? Also since I'm a greedy ******* I'm thinking of Plasti-dip.

We've got the multi spokes with black inserts on a red car, will probably get them fully powder coated in the next 12 months. Not a fan of the diamond cut ones tbh.
