Best value HPi check?

Sorry, I couldn't find the best place on the forum to ask so thought i'd try here as it's a Mk1 i'm after.

Haven't needed a HPi in years so wondering what's the best to go for - any ideas?
I've heard some aren't worth the money due to only giving limited info. As I may end up doing a check on more than one vehicle (although fingers crossed once will be all that's needed once I find one) I want to find the cheapest that is actually worth paying for.

Most traders and garages are advertising as HPi clear, would you rely on their printout or still do your own? Although I hope to buy privately if poss.

Any advice appreciated.

Traders HPI all cars they sell and are legally obliged to state any know traces on its history.

I use total car check.

Appears to be one of the cheapest at £8.99 including finance check. Or £14.99 for 3 different car checks.

I generally use the mycarcheck app as its £2.99 per check. Mot history is available these days on mot-history.net which I think is great if your considering buying a car too.
