Old stock radio reception was getting a bit iffy so decided to upgrade to a new double din unit, went for the Kenwood DPX-406DAB taking the old one out & fitting the new one was quite easy, purchased all the necessary cables.

Can you list the cables you needed to install this?

I like that it fits with the red backlight theme of the alana.

Should come with all the right cables, sometimes you need a DIN to ISO adapter for the car Ariel.

DAB Ariels use a different connector to AM/FM, some radios come with a separate antennae for the DAB, some don't - it will say on the box though if it does include one.

you get the Dab aerial & Mic with the radio, only extras I purchased were

Note not all places sell this unit with the dab aerial so check.

PS my 57 plate car has steering wheel controls so you might not need all above.

I have a 57 plate Ibiza that I'm looking to upgrade the DIN on, so thanks for your info.

Just to clarify what's required, is the first of these (the CTSST002.2), plus the relevant branded patch lead, all that's needed to connect up the steering wheel controls?

And do all the controls work as expected for you?

Think the controls only worked for a few days, Something must of disconnected behind the radio I couldn't be bothered to take the radio out & have a look, The large volume control is so easy to use on this head unit.
