1.4 No Spark No Start - HELP

Hi Guys

Got a mk3 Ibiza 1.4 and it suddenly died while running today refusing to restart with no spark at the plugs. Ran a code reader on it and nothing comes up. Now I know the MK2 ECU is a dumb as a post so guess the mk3 might be the same....

Tried the spare key to rule out immobiliser (does the immobiliser cut spark or fuel?) so next two favourites from experience on MK2's would be the coil pack or the crank position sensor.

Any of you guys had this issue, am I headed in the right direction?

Hi buddy, i don't know that paticular engine, but i would of thought it's probably the coil pack. Even the dumbest ecu should show a code for the crank sensor. The coilpack probably wouldn't throw a code IMO, so most likely that.
