Cheers guys I appreciate the compliments. It's come along way last year in many areas.

Big guns come out next year now the foundations are set. Watch this space. Some of you will already know but some big purchases have already been made and will be fitted in the new year!!

Well that kept me busy for the past hour or so reading the entire project thread. Stunning car mate and it would seem you're local to me to.

Thanks mate. No problem at all, glad my work can be an inspiration to other people still a long way off where I want it to be but I love the progress and it's been fun getting here so far.

Thanks for the posts and kind comments guys. There's a lot more to come this year. Tomorrow I hope to sort out the sender for the oil pressure gauge so it actually reads something lol

Today I finally got a set of Bosch aero wipers for the car to compliment the mk4 arms and replaced the old universal fit blades that looked tacky.

As you know I have a oil pressure gauge in my nomad pillar pod that is electronically wired up so it illuminates but I had not sorted out the pressure sender to it.

Sorted that all out a few days ago and was a nice little project.

Purchased a 42 draft design relocation kit to run to the sender as the sender was too bulky to fit directly to the port on the oil filter housing.

Fitted the hose to the top of the housing.

Then fitted oil pressure sender.

And fitted it to the hose.

Next was wiring it up. I ran the earth to the negative battery terminal.

And the positive through the bay to the firewall, through the small gap where the bonnet release cable runs and under the scuttle panel ready to go into the cabin.

Then got some engine bay wiring conduit to protect the wiring.

Next was to hide the pressure sender as its gold and looks unsightly and doesn't look right where it is.

Adapted a silicone reducer hose with holes for the wiring too and hid it inside.

After securing the wires to the sender I fitted a blanking plug to hide and protect.

Looks much better now I think.

Lastly was to drill the same grommet that I ran the vac line for the boost gauge and fed the positive wire into the cabin area.

Last time I drop the dash hopefully lol

Wires to the gauge and hey presto it worked.

Readings seem to be 1-2 bar on idle and sits between 4-5 bar driving normally.

Hopefully going to get the rear exhaust box sorted this weekend to stop the knocking on the rear anti roll bar. Either modified or a smaller box welded in. Another niggly little thing that's been bugging me for ages so will be nice to sort.

Other than that will be servicing at the en of the month and polybushing the front end. Lower arm front and rear, dog bone front and rear and steering rack with powerflex black series bushes.

Watch this space.

So I took the car to Fast Road Conversions in Ashford this morning for them to sort out the rear silencer knocking on the rear anti roll bar.

Very happy with the fabrication work.

Now clears the ARB fine and can remove my exhaust wrap I used as a cushion.

Whilst it was in the air my mate Stuart had a leftover piece of 3" stainless from removing his centre resonator box, would have been rude to not do the same

Sounds slightly louder but nothing major and at last that knocking had stopped. Very happy!!!

Decided to change the lights to something modern looking and brighter.

Hid 6000k 55w h7r for mains and matching 6000k 501 LED side lights.

Nice slim ballasts mounted after running the wiring.

Done a comparison shot of either side and the new side lights are brighter than the old headlights lol

Above is just sides.

And this is both.

Photos make them look blurry and blue. In the flesh they look much better.

Now both fitted.

Very bright and look much more modern. Now to test drive and see how they are.
