Who supplies the cheapest Cat back non res system and can anyone recommend a good specialist in the West Midlands area (I'm in Solihull) to fit for a good price?

I have a question regarding the exhausts too.
Am i right in thinking non res is the quieter version?
i ask because i would like to eventually get an exhaust system to aid with a performance remap, but i dont want it to be annoyingly loud/obnoxious/droney. I have the standard factory exhaust on at the moment and i like how its quite quiet, but the worry of a loud exhaust is putting me off getting one.

Non Resonated is louder than the resonated, but is more free flowing. I wouldn't say they are loud/droney for people around your car. But they can be a bit droney for you inside the car. But its down to tastes, some people say Milltek is not droney others think they are.

Might be worth trying eurocarparts for Milltek as strangely they are a supplier for Milltek.

Might be worth phoning up Ricki at TSR performance, I paid £375 for a non res milltek system on my K1. That was a supply only price though.

I've been looking around as well, Milltek seems to get alot of praise from indie's and many forum users but from some people's insights and watching vids, without a downpipe even the non-res just sounds the same as stock.

That's fine if you just need a better flowing exhaust to go along with a remap I suppose, but if you want more sound its not.

So if I had a full Milltek turbo back resonated with sports cat, will this system be louder than stock on acceleration? I think I'm going turbo back with sports cat but I don't want a raspy sound just a deeper grunt and quieter when cruising and if I had non res with downpipe and cat, I'm guessing it will be raspy loud?

Just took mine off if you interested in a second hand one not that far from you if you wanted a look

That's nice of you to ask bud but I'm not too sure what setup I'm after just yet so I'm gonna hold fire until I get a bit more feedback as of my question above ^^^^

Milltek systems aren't one of the loudest, I've got a decat and non res system and doesn't drone on the motorway etc.

If you're going sports cat I'd get a non res system, the rear silencers are fairly big and do a good job at keeping the droning away.

Yeah that's not much louder than stock will just give a bit of a deeper exhaust note. You could always buy a non res pipe and sell the resonated one if you changed your mind anyway

It's hard to tell from videos. Is that cabin noise on the video more the soundaktor thing than exhaust noise? Will the cat back be a tinny sound with sport cat?
