Upgrade climate controls to digital unit?

Hi guys,

Recently bought an ibiza st and want rid of the ugly dials. Is it possible/worth it/easy to install the digital control units?

It would be a lot of work I think, as the dials physically turn to change temp, airflow etc. Whereas the digital unit will use a servos/motors I would imagine.

You would have to replace everything behind it including the wiring loom to run the digital unit.

Do some more research perhaps but IMO I wouldn't bother.

It's a lot of work might be easier finding some dials of an a1, polo, fabia or something like that

Good decision, while in theory it should be possible, the work involved, and cost, even if sourcing all parts from scrappy would not make sense, only one time to specify that is at initial build! You are talking about the complete dashboard coming out to access>modify> fit new parts!
