My 1.2 has been leaking brake fluid and the abs light has been coming on and going off. Fault code was something to do with an abs pump pipe. I have the pipe because I found it when I took the bumper off a few weeks ago but had no idea what it had fallen off of. Does anyone have any idea where the pipe goes back on? Its a black flexible rubber pipe about 14 inches long. Or if someone has a pic of their abs pump in the engine bay? Please help!

I'd say that without doubt, that pipe that you have found has nothing to do with your ABS or leaking brake fluid issue.

First thing that you need to do is to find out where the fluid is leaking from and fix that.

By the way, is it definitely brake fluid that you have found leaking, ie is the brake fluid reservoir level dropping?

Edit:- is that pipe not just a drip/drain pipe from the battery?

Sticking to the more important problem, have you looked at all the four wheels to see if there is any trace of fluid leaking out, I'd think that the most obvious place will be the rear cylinders.

Just wanted to say I got this sorted. Whole brake system got checked and no leaks. Turns out it was a clutch slave cylinder. Got that replaced and fixed the leak.

ABS light - fault that came up was 00301. Something to do with the the abs return flow pump or something. Anyway I was told I needed a new abs pump because they didn't know what else it could be. After some research I changed a 40a strip fuse which was located inside the battery cover. Light went straight away. Car perfect again, thanks for all the help*:D

Good result!!

"new ABS module" for the price of a fuse - that is the way to do it!

BTW, I had never even considered that it could be the hydraulic clutch, every day can be a school day?
