Sorry if this is a stupid question.

I have the auq engine 1.8t do they have an egr valve?

if so were are they located?

Nope, EGR is on Diesel engines.

Why?

Having a few issues with mine.

Rough running and not boosting right.

Also got a week off work next week so taking all pipes off and cleaning so thought id check if it had one.

Get a diagnostic done, probably a coilpack, fault DV or something at least then you'll know exactly what's wrong rather than doing work that could amount to nothing being fixed

I have a vag com. Recieved it yesterday. Going to run it and see what i find. I gave it a quick run last night and there were no missfire on any cylinders but the o2 sensor reading was abit high and so was the maf reading

VAGCOM will reveal all if there is a major problem with either that could affect performance.
