New discs and pads on rear ( did fronts separately last year). Easy to do apart from the sodding Philips head disc retaining screw. I now have 3 wheels with it snapped off (grrr why can't garages lubicate the threads of these when fitting new discs?) All done and working mighty fine .

After fitting a new welly intercooler, Badger5 v3 intake kit with filter and heat shield, replacing the water pump and cam belt I've now purchased a set of KW Clubsport coilovers to replace the prosport coilovers I fitted a few months back.

Can't wait for a bit more knuckle bashing!!

Replaced this lot for some nice new hoses, couldn't believe the amount of tape and various bits of hose held together on the manifold breather!

Fitted new brake discs and pads at the front a few days ago, and just spent the weekend disassembling and reconditioning all the door lock modules on my LCR. Turns out most of them had a "new" problem other than the solder joints going - the motors were lacking torque and occasionally stopping in a position where they couldn't start again. Disassembled the motors themselves, cleaned the carbon off the commutator and adjusted the brushes and all working dandy now!

Car washed just in time for it to start raining :) carried out the n249 delete, got rid of rear wiper and sorted a few niggly faults around the car. Might fit some spacers to the back wheels tomorrow to fill the arches out a bit. Out of interest is there any easy way of finding out who has VCDS around Huddersfield other than asking in a post. I used to be on a site that had people dotted on a map that had software and were willing to help?

All looks good so far but struggling to figure out the wiring for the dimmer on new switch, does anyone know of a wiring diagram for Golf mk5 dimmer switch??
I've spent a couple of long nights trawling through the tinter-web but no joy :cry:

I'll post this request elsewhere for good luck
