Off Road Display - Instructions:

WARNING: VCDS users that have a HEX+CAN, or Micro CAN Cable please note that this tweak (and any tweaks) on MIB2 units (address Hex5F) should only be implemented with Ross Tech software version 15.7.3 (or later).

REQUIREMENT: This tweak will only work on MIB2 units that have SATNAV installed (don't bother trying if a SATNAV is not present).

Sorry I haven't perfectly understand, 15.7.3 VCDS software (and cable) is mandatory, correct?
But what about Leon production year? MIB2 unit means? Thank you!

Step 1. On Select Control Module screen click "Select"
Step 2. Select 5F-information Elect
Step 3. Go to step 4 - Note: I've had reports from some forum colleagues that a security code was needed. If the adaptation channel settings in Step 5 are locked:
Step 3A. Go back to the Open Controller screen and select Security Access-16
Step 3B. Enter the magic number 31347 (if this doesn't work- exit RT software, wait a while with the ignition-on and try 20103)
Step 4. Select Adaptation-10
Step 5. Change the following adaptation channels:
(81)-Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2-menu_display_compass - set to active (default not active)
(83)-Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2-menu_display_compass_over_threshold_high - set to active (default not active)
(41)-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-compass_0x15 - set to active (default not active)

Exit the Ross Tech software
Step 6. Reset the MIB unit - press and hold the ON/OFF button on the infotainment unit for greater than 10 seconds.

MIB2 unit = code of SD card in navi starts with letter 6P0.....
5f0.... = MIB1 unit
15.7.3 or higher cable is mandatory.

Deactivate of radio AM modulation (FM or DAB stay unchanged):

Stg: 5F
Long Coding
Byte 14, Bit 1 activation

Is it possible to use the G force screen in MIB1?
featuredetails.resizeViewPort.422.image2FileReference.jpg

Anything special needed for this?
Cable version, etc?
And of course what kind of VCDS?

Does anyone know if VCDS can change the length of time that the lane assistance works for (before you need to waggle the steering wheel)? It's currently set at 10-12 seconds before it cuts out, and you can't write a decent Facebook update in that short time ;)

(Just kidding)

You can play with Lane Assist settings as follows:

Deactivation threshold Driver Activity - Lane Assist:
1) Select the command module : A5 - Frt & Sens & Drv & Assist & . .
2) Select Security Access : Access 16 Code 20103
3) Select Adaptation 10
4) Select (directional stab assist, intensity, steering wheel vibration)

> Weak
> Medium (standard)
> Strong

Anyone got the code for changing the indicators from 3-5?

You mean the "comfort indicators"? Here below the code, rember that after changing it, to be effective you have to reset lights settings in the car menu.

1. Select STG 09 (Cent. Elect.)
2. Access code STG 16
3. Unlock code 31347
4. Select STG 10 (Adaptation)
5. (2)-Turn signal control-Komfortblinken Blinkzyklen
6. Put your desired value, for example 5 (Default 3)
