My wife runs a 2007 Leon FR 2.0 TFSI DSG.

The exhaust is just starting to blow.

She has always thought it sounds a bit quiet as standard and asked me about fitting a sports exhaust.

What do you guys run? Don't want anything too extreme.

Thanks in advance for positive suggestions.

Need to get it on a ramp to have a look where it is blowing from. At a quick glance underneath, the whole thing looks pretty rusty.

Don't want to spend the earth, but it would be nice to get something better than a budget special.

Hopefully the downpipe is still ok.

Cat back options, most people like milltek, you could fit the FR or even the Cupra style if you fancied a change.

ive had a gander on ebay for a cheaper alternative but it looks like thats not a bad price above.

You could always go to a custom exhaust fabricator, most towns have one, and he will probably be able to make you one cheaper if you like. I am sure there are others with some first hand experience in this that will come along soon...

Yes, I hope the downpipe is OK. We have just had to change the turbo on the other car, so the timing isn't great!

I did consider a custom fabricator, but would prefer to stick to an "off the shelf system" just as then we know what we are getting.

The Miltek systems do look nice, so that may be the way forward.

I think the next step is for me to get it on a ramp and see where it is actually blowing. Due to work, that may not be for a week or so.

Thank you for the prompt replies by the way.

The BCS cat-back is a similar price for the resonated system, depending where you are:

will the Cupra R exhaust fit the Fr? (Assuming the valence was changed to the R style) i have been looking into getting the milltek Cupra R exhaust with the twin exit but cannot determine if the pipe shape is same for Fr and R.
