First post here!

Picked up my new Mk3 Ibiza Cupra in imperial blue last night. New to these cars so thought I'd come show it off in return for advice! :)

It's been owned by a member here before so you can read a bit about it here -
Damn it won't let me until 15 posts so I'll edit that in once I've got there!

Not sure if the specs changed much since then but this is the spec I got given:

2001 Imperial Blue Seat Ibiza Cupra.

269bhp/285lbs

1.8t 20v AYP Engine.
Intergrated Enginering Rifle Drilled Forged Conrods.
JBS Custom Stage 2 Remap.
JBS High Flow Exhaust Manifold.
JBS04 Hybrid Turbo.
Pro Alloy Intercooler Kit With Custom BAM Style Pipe Work.
Blue Flame Exhaust System.
Forge Tip.
Forge Silicone Hoses.
Forge 007 Recerculating Valve.
RamAir Enclosed Filter.
N249 Bypass.
VW Golf MK4 (Turbo) G60 Flywheel & VR6 Clutch.
Secondry Air Injection Removed.

Audi A3 Black Roof Lining.
Audi A3 Black Sun Visors.
HID Full Beam Lights.
Fly Eye Headlights.
Tinted Rear Lights.
Tinted Windows all Round.

White Cupra Starfish Alloys.
De-Wipered on The Rear.
Standard Cupra Body Kit.
Standard Half Leather/Blue Cloth Cupra Interior.
Pressed Plates.
Cupra R Plate Surrounds.

So far I've removed the sub as I need boot space for work. Plans are to tidy her up a bit, fix the boost hose leak as it keeps popping off under boost, fit a new set of front tyres and enjoy the car for a bit!

Apparently it was mapped at a relatively sensible 269bhp before the forged rods were put in. What do you guys think she could make with another map?

Sounds good! Saw the pics on the other thread and looked good back then. Not sure on the mapping front but someone will help you soon, if not check out Badger5, should be able to help you out. Can be a bit quiet on here these days for mk3 ibiza help!

Cheers for the reply. It seems quiet haha! Still need to fix the boost leak, an offside abs sensor and then I can fully enjoy her...

Mike Hollis ibiza?

Nice tidy example!

BBT K300 make 300bhp+ with ease but im not 100% on JBS's hybrid

Do you know who mapped it?

Im soon to have mine mapped & looking hit the 300 mark myself

Get some pics up ;-)

Yeah it was Mike hollis's old Ibiza. Not sure who mapped it, I'll have a read through the folder of paperwork, see if that sheds any light!
I'll get some photos up when I'm back from work :D

This used to be mine and my brothers car , my brother had the engine built when the original engine snapped a con rod and smashed it out the block , he also had brakes fitted , polly bushes and clutch , it's a great car and fast ,mapping was always on the list to do before we sold it to Mike hollis

Ahhh brilliant to hear from you! It's certainly fast but I'm losing boost from a hose which is too short to clamp up properly at the moment so I'll order one next week. What do you think the engine could make with another map? I've still got all the receipts here from the engine build!

I would think it could see 300bhp all being good I was going to have it mapped by r-tech as they seem the best people for 1.8t mapping but it's down to you

Cool, cheers for the reply! Got a longer piece of hose on the intercooler join now, runs MUCH better! :D
Had a new abs sensor fitted yesterday in the hope that would clear the fault that brings the abs and traction control light on but was still showing nothing on that wheel when looking at the live date on diagnostics! Must be a snapped/damaged wire further alongside?

Looks like I may have to sell this unfortunately as I need a work truck! :(

I know, I took her for a blast today, put a big smile on my face! Funny you say that, a friend of mine said I should break it but I really don't have the energy and not sure how much I'd get out of it money wise...

Yeh its a no brainer to break these car now IF u want to get the most money back for it.

There will only be mine & a few other's left at this rate lol

Ive seen at least 10 perfectly working ibiza get broken this year alone, 1 was running 480bhp

Trouble is, I have no idea what these parts are worth so hard for me to cost it up and see what money I'd be looking at making back...
