Interior lights don't stay on

Hi guys

Basically when I unlock the car in the dark the inside lights come on for like 2 secs and go off but when I open the door they come back on but as soon as I shut it they go off again, and when I stop and turn the engine off they don't come on either ..... I have vag com but what do I need to go on to sort this

Have you done a full code read, was there any implausible signal errors? Do you get the same result with the lights coming on if you open other doors instead of the drivers door?
My initial thought was that the door lock could be sending an incorrect signal and my second thought was that the igniton barrel could be sticking as that activates the lights when the key is removed.

Mine won't come on when I unlock the car or when I open a door, but they are work when I use them manually.

You need to go into cnt elec, and look in there, they might be switched off
