cupra k1 gearbox

gearbox is on its way out as you you know from my other threads, so was gonna go look at this MK5 Golf GTI gearbox but went to a gearbox place and they said it will fit, but the ratios would be diffeent so not gonna go look at it. now after a direct replacement so ratios are the same

anyway, this guys on facebook has 2007, 2008 and 2009 cupra box, and a mk6gti box fo sale.

will these be a direct replacement? i mean will the ratios be the same? i know the k1 is basically an FR, but is the same as a cupra? just tryin to clarify coz im going to look at it soon

also are they the same engine codes? my engine code/transmission code is BWJ. i found the code under the mat in the boot of the car

K1 and Cupra engines/boxes are the same

K1 is just a special edition Cupra and that is just body work and central exhaust, everything else like the gearbox is the same.

thank you, went to see a gearbox today. the code for the gearbox was KDU which i think is ok since my engine code is BWJ.
