Hi Guys, about to go for a road trip tomorrow and was out in the LC for a spin. Was driving it a bit hard as car needed fuel so nice and light so always tempted to give it a bit more but when i got to the fuel station i notice a leak coming from underneath the car. Thought i would check it out once i got home as other cars were waiting behind me.

Got home and looked under the car to find this....

Im guessing this is not safe to drive??? Liquid that looked like it had leaked out from under the car was clear on the floor like car had pissed itself... is this where it came from?

Thanks for your help.

Yours has a massive hole in it, needs to be fixed ASAP, if you get dirt in that then you will prob need a cv joint

You better have another look under your car. If you had liquid on the floor it wasn't from the split CV boot.

Mine went last week and decided to just buy a new driveshaft instead because odds are the CV joint will be full of dirt and will be knackered.

Driveshafts come with the joints and boots already assembled and no faffing about taking things apart.

Pretty exspensive when that boots are prob £30 for the pair, it's an ok price if you getting both shafts done tho
