PD130 Misfire when warm

Hey guys,

I've been having a problem over the last week or two, which seems to be getting worse!

When warmed up, or nearly warmed up to 90, the engine will start "misfiring/juddering" when slightly accelerating, flooring it usually snaps it out of the misfire for a minute or two, but sometimes it will get stuck in this misfire state, I will have to turn the engine off and on to get it to run properly again! (not fun when driving on the M5 daily).
When it "misfires", it does have a lack in power and sounds bloody horrible!

I thought it may have been the air filter/MAF, so I replaced the air filter (it was dirty) which did not fix the issue, I then unplugged the MAF which seems to help, I drove to work this morning with no juddering with the MAF unplugged (car was in limp mode due to this, just enough power for 70mph). However, with the MAF unplugged, it did slightly judder last night when the girlfriend was driving (I was in the car).

I also noticed today on the way to work, the temp gauge was showing around 100c.

It is probably also important to mention that around 2/3 weeks ago, the engine did start badly tapping after sticking my toe down, the tapping slowly went away leaving the car to idle.

From the research I've done and the 10000 google searches, it looks like it could be the injectors, injector loom, camshaft, MAF sensor...or many other things!

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The car is going in for a service on Monday, I will also get the coolant temp sensor changed.
The last service was 7000 miles ago, which did include a fuel filter.

after checking and/or replacing the water temp sensor and sure there's no overheating I would look at the crank and cam sensors I gather these are prone to old age and heat

Cheers, I'll get them all checked out.

I know the old pd 115bhp suffered from injector looms knackering out over years of use. Think they throw up a problem code. Have u scanned it?

I have indeed, nothing comes up :( I'll test again after work just to make sure.
