VT86, Seat Leon4 4wd k03 285hp => GT28R => GTX2867R Gen2 420hp

First dyno with new turbo was super disappointing. Car produced bit under 300hp and bit over 400Nm of torque which means that Gt28R produced only under 15hp more and over 50Nm less than my old K03 Hybrid.

Trackday with new setup, still minor problems to solve. Like why not enough power, did powersteering pump give up or not. Now powersteering fluids seems to stay where they should, leaking was from the oil feed line.

Couple weeks ago we did small ecu tuning and got ~30-40Nm more torque with lower boost settings but there's still some bottle neck in the system. Something very stranges because we cannon't get car boosting over 1.7bar even port closed. Also boost hose before FMIC tries to pop off time to time. We have started to suspect that there's problem with the FMIC. SeatSport oem FMIC do not flow enough or that at some point of rebuild I have for got some damn rag in the boost pipe. Last night I tested if I can get something out of the intercooler by pushing air in to it but it didn't help.
Also I have asked new even bigger turbo for the car, so most likely I will buy at some point new Garrett GTX2871r and start to drive with E85

I just want to say your tune is fantastic, It wont be overly exciting however thats the perfect tune for a track car, you don't want a huge surge and drop off, a nice linear path is fantastic.

Some updates planed already. New exhaust manifold is in order and most likely I will upgrade GT28R (GT2560r) to those new GTX serie turbos. Also got software changer so next summer I can run with 3 different softwares. Possible street software for gasoline and E85 and race software with E85
I has been while when I have updated anything. Basically I haven't done almost anything for the car. GF bought house so we have been renovating it. And rest of the time I have spend at work or doing/studying one WRC RX car.

Finally decided what turbo I will have and ordered that right a way. week or two I will have GTX2867R Gen 2 and have to start again taking Leon to parts.
For long long time some updates. Finally some mild tune up with GTX2867R. Notice that there's some restriction, possible CAT or SeatSport intercooler, have to figure something out during winter. Now I have own place to work with the Leon also so things are easier, garages is less than 7km from home.

Not seen this tread before love the colour, is it factory or respray? What power are you running?
Thanks, car was resprayed four years ago or so, and same time engine was rebuild for second hybrid setup 285hp then I did change hybrid to eliminator kit and 295-300hp which was disappointment. Now some problems with airfow and we are stuck 340-350hp with newest setup. We have some ideas though so hopefully we can reach my 360-380hp target with pump gas and 420-450hp with E85 (ethanol).
I would appreciate good hints for new intercooler. There's just one big problem, I want still use same end in and out. If some one have idea for well flowing IC please tell me.
I have looked few options where in and out are same end (Top to Bottom cooler) and then one option was Lancer EVO X ic which is kind of L.

New intake manifold arrived. Next one will be new CAT and IC. Also with this intake I'll take my WMI for use. Have been one laying around some years now.
New waste gate actuator and new intake installed. Now boost stays and work like it should. Dyno results were bit disappointment, less power than I wanted but at least now it boosts smoothly. Car had bit heat problems, dyno room was over 28°C.
There's 345hp and 350hp pulls. Best ones were about 360hp and worst ones were 335hp depending temps.
Next step might be different intercooler because of 0.2-0.3 bar pressure drop. And next winter need to do few exhaust modifications to make sure that there's no restriction.
Camshafts are one thing i would like to test, but that's bit expensive at the moment.
