Hazard lights come on in Leon Cupra after opening door

Haven't been able to find anything on a search, but my hazard lights come on in my Leon Cupra once I open the door with the key entry (my rcl isn't working).

But once I put the key in the ignition and turn the key to first position it stops. They don't come on at any other time.

Weird one that, never come across anything like that before.

Anybody know what that could be?

It seems like when the alarm goes off but without a horn?

They just flash on the dashboard and physically flash on the exterior.

Even if I put on the hazards it does nothing, it only stops when I insurer the key into ignition and turn it once.

Your remote is keyless? Did your remote ever worked? With buttons or key (if it has one)?

Do you have only one key?

I was thinking if you could try to pair again with a spare key.

Thanks for your reply : )

When I bought it, I was told that the RCL didn't work.

I have a spare key, so I have tried the pairing procedure but it did not work. Although I did not have a new battery in the keyfob. I'll get a new one in and try it again.

Anybody any other ideas?

Change the car battery

Thanks. That's actually the first thing I did when I bought it as the battery wasn't the best considering the previous owner did a lot of short trips.

So still none the wiser about this. Still happening.
