Those strip lamps look like Halfords special offers.

That's not a facelift, that's just fiddling. It looked better before.

The new Ateca style lights have the two bars a bit close together to my eye too, but maybe just me. I hope they leave the interiors alone too, cos the blue seats in the Ateca are rank.

And, here it is (if not fake):

Probably Entry/Style version, judging from the simple bumper.

Not changed much, just enough to strip the car of any character. Looks as bland and uninspired as Ateca, IMHO. Or maybe: inspired by Skoda.
I'm gonna hurry up and buy 2016 model, or wait and buy something else. BTW 2016 model already changed, at least in Seat's web configurator. It now has some quirky fog lights.

I saw this on another forum. General consensus is that this isn't an FR model, but is the entry level model with an FR badge. I will await the Paris motorshow before making a decision.

I can't see any changes at all on the SEAT UK Leon configurator - Where exactly did you see the new "quirky fog lights?"

Didn't notice it's only for the ST version (for now?).

The LED DRLs are built into the LED headlight units on the existing (MY2016) Leon. I wonder if the new arangement is only to add LED DRLs to the non-LED headlight versions, which currently only have non-LED (conventional) DRLs? If the MY2017 facelifted Leon is to get the Ateca LED headlights, then these also have integral LED DRLs, but with the dual function of also acting as direction indicators. There is no sign yet of this anywhere at all in any of the sections of the SEAT UK website.

I just checked the SEAT UK Leon ST configurator again, and adding the technology pack (LED headlights), shows a picture of the front of the car with the current MY2016 LED headlights with integral LED DRLs together with those strange new double lights below the front bumper, so if they are DRLs, then that would result in the car having 2 sets of DRLs, which clearly makes no sense at all! So this all continues to remain a bit of mystery!

There's a lot of talk about the SC being dropped due to a Spanish promo leaflet circulating showing end of production for it in Jan 17. That would be a bold move. Pure speculation of course.

16th september 2016

I assume that if you can order the facelifted SEAT Leon as from 16th of September 2016, SEAT must be releasing detailed specifications and prices on the 16th of September at the very latest, otherwise customers won't be able to choose what they want to order!

Do you know exactly when SEAT will be releasing prices and specifications for the facelifted SEAT Leon in the UK?

I really need to find this information as soon as possible, as I will probably want to order a facelifted version within the next few weeks, but so far SEAT UK and their dealers either don't have any details or for some obscure reason, don't want to release any information.

Strange how some manufacurers seem quite open about releasing or leaking information about future models and facelifts, even if this is very provisional, many months in advance of implementation, while others (such as SEAT) seem extremely secretive and obscure about saying anything at all! This is extremely frustrating for potential new or returning customers, and could even lose them sales! In my case, I might even consider going for a new facelifted Audi A3 Sportback next time, that is if I can get over the depressingly bland and boring generic estate car styling and oversize lorry-like radiator grille, plus the jaw-droppingly rip-off prices for many of the additional factory-fitted options!

All the talk on the Spanish forums (some employee leak) is this goes into production from week 46 onwards. Hence the Cupra Black lease deals thread all getting a build week before that.

I would expect the details at Paris motorshow along with the Mii facelift.

I think a Cupra 300 so soon may well annoy existing customers. I'm a different case as I'll be modifying mine eventually but that's 4 Cupras in one body shape.

Probably just a badge change. The 290 feels naff all different to the 280 so I bet the 300 will feel the same again. I believe most 280s that have seen a RR have shown more than 280 anyway.

Exactly there is little difference but someone that has just spent 30k on a 290 Black might be a bit annoyed. I'm fine with it. I spent 16k and will remap to to 290/300 and beyond when my warranty is up.

Today Czech dealer confirmed to me, that Cupra 300 will get also a 8" navi display. I ordered in May Cupra ST 290 and delivery time is in week 40 (October). I am little bit unsure what to do. If I should stay in ST 290, or cancel the order and wait for Cupra 300.
