Lcr mk1 under tray has come loose and was dragging on the floor, only noticed when I slowed down as I heard something scraping. Had the RAC out to try and fix it, but they couldn't as all the bolts except 2 have disappeared. Any thoughts as where I can get to new bolts and fixers from?

Have to admit I had the same once, going from london to Leicester I was admiring an m135i and just started hearing a scraping noise. It was the undertray and I was only at luton. Came off the motorway, found a place to park and with minimal tools (and light) ripped the bastid off! Never to be seen again.

Expensive little piece of plastic, cost me 75€ mounted at my local independent garage.

Edit: please ignore my post, wrong part.

Had the same to mine, noticed when doing an oil change the owner before must have lost the bolts as extra holes were drilled and poorly fitting bolts in there. Meant to change it all but came off scraping on the motorway to Wales so never survived the journey :)

Have a chat with Sere Motors on the traders section to see if they can get hold of them for you, they are pretty good on price from what I have seen.

I think I got the small torx fittings for the undertray off ebay in the end, I did try and get some from Dave at Sere but they werent listed or my description of what I wanted was wrong.

If some of the 3 screws at the front are missing, as long as you have one left, a local screws and fastners specialist can match it for you.

Mine came off on the way to the Nurburgring, I pulled over and ripped it off, it was always coming loose so was fed up of it.
Just think of it as weight reduction..

I had that same issue underneath my ride. Got a bunch of PVC tie strap and guess what: its still there :D

It is advisable if possible to keep the under tray, it helps protect the bottom of the engine bay from impact. Also helps keep water and dirt off, it may even affect the aerodynamics and fuel consumption?

I've seen them held on with cable ties, even seen extra holes drilled to allow use of cable ties.
