Morning all.

Got a bit of a strange issue with my brakes.
When im slowing down and i mean at very low speeds the ABS is cutting in.
It does it at walking pace about 8 out of 10 times.

A mechanic mate of mine sead it could be one of the ABS rings split/damaged.
I replaced the front n rear discs and pads this week and checked all 4 whilst i was at it. All looked fine.
Its not a new thing, its been doing it since i bought the car last october.
Plugged in and no faults found.

Anyone come across this before?
Its a strange one.

Cheers

Rich

Have you checked the sensors?

Could you have caught any of the wires whilst doing the discs, it could be crossing the signal and tricking the system into switching on?

Havnt checked the sensors.
As i sead. its not a new thing. It was doing it long before i touched the brakes.
Ill plug in again at some point and see if i can do real time data. May help at least what corner the fault is at.

Cheers

Morning.
Cheers for the reply.
The ABS light doesnt come on when it happens. It does come on as normal when starting the car.
Ill have to investigate and report back. I have before had the car in the brake rollers and tried individual corners at a time and not picked the problem up.
Ill try again tomorrow. If all else fails, ill get the multi meter out or plug in and try live data. Its a busy life i lead but need to make time for the car.
Never had the ABS come on at speeds as i drive like me nan :).

I get the exact same symptoms which is down to a faulty sensor, when I start the car my abs and tcs lights are permanent lit, disable the abs etc, when I clear the fault my abs engages just as coming to a stop, after a couple of times of it doing this the abs and tcs light back up, upon scanning it lists one of the front sensors as faulty, I've just ordered a new one and will be fitting shortly.

The results are in :D.
O/S/F speed sensor cutting out below 6mph.
Just ordered a new piece of intake hose from the intercooler that was leaking (wasnt cheap) so will replace the sensor next week.
