Did mine myself I heated the letters with a hairdryer and slowly eased them off with a bank card with some cloth round it. It did leave some glue residue but just get a cloth with abit of petrol/lighter flued on it and it comes straight off.

I removed the chrome Leon badge by a blast with the hairdryer (on the letters!) And dental floss.

Stuck new ones on that a friend at Seat had sprayed black for me.

I also removed mine but left the FR badge. I just heated them with a hair dryer and then used fishing line. I then used sticky stuff remover to remove the left over foam/glue. This is before (when I first got the car):

The FR badge shows what Leon it is. If it was a Cupra, I'd probably leave the lettering too. But if it was a SE then the TSI or TDI badge would be coming off along with the lettering

Ahh right. Fair enough. I always wondered why! Aren't the wheels and body kit different anyway?

My poor little SE will be keeping all its badges. I don't even wash it anymore to be honest, let alone fettling!

All that said, the back end of your FR does look good actually. Those exhausts just make it.

Yeah the bumpers are different but to the people not in the Leon circle, they don't really see the differences. I de-badged my SE when I had that. Sometimes I wish I got the Cupra but then I would miss the economy from my diesel.

First thing I did when I got my mk2 was to remove the ugly copa badges from the sides and the ecomotive badge off the back.

Still contemplating the leon badge but I think it will be coming off... to me they just get in the way when cleaning and are another place for dirt to hide.

Just out of interest Ckpearce91 how did you find the 1.6TDI with the DTUK... I'm looking at possible stage 1 on mine.

I imagine if they ever bothered to make a Cupra TDI it'd sell like hot cakes! I cant think why they havent yet!

They prob sell enough FR dervs and enough cupra separately to not really be worth it.

I still fancy a derv supacopa in mk2 guise, looks of the cupra with the eco of derv. 2.0tdi with a map would be pretty nippy too.

It was good. The car had a lot more low down power. I didn't haven't to force it to go as much and the turbo lag was gone so it was a lot smoother
