Booked mine in for its 1-year service on the 29th... that's come around very quickly!

Also requested the rear cluster be replaced at the same time as it's got the usual condensation issues.

Are they the brembo's off the mk1? How do they compare to stock? Look a cheaper option than the new ones Inc new alloys. I was considering some reconditioned brembo's.

Nah they are a lot bigger than the MK1 kit lol

They are a funny kit, Ferrari F40 calipers, 911 pads and Focus WRC discs.

I've never understood calling a set of Brembo calipers 'F40', like somehow having brakes from a car made nearly 30 years ago is a good thing?
F40 brembo spec was 4 pot calipers, pretty poor in comparison to modern spec upgrades.

Not disputing they are an upgrade for any Leon, and I know they are good solid brakes as I had them on my 147GTA (335mm) and I also have a set on my Integrale, but don't get this fascination with the 'F40' designation. I just refer to them as 355mm 4 pot Brembos, but that's just me.

It's going to be a mission installing with only 1 pair of hands! Paint quality ain't the best but as most of it won't be on show I'll live with it.

Air filter changed by yours truly and 1st year service done at seat Blackpool.

Got my 3rd years service today along with the cars 1st M.O.T.
What do you know, they fail the car due to illegal number plates.

Number plates that were fitted to the car from new. they are the 3D Effect plates which I know full well are legal but the dealer and tester were having none of it.

Had to buy new plates to pass the M.O.T and it's in the hands of SEAT UK to claim back the cost of the plates now as I am not that local to the dealer and did not want to be going all the way back there for a retest.

Bloody joke really.

Be sure to complain to VOSA or whatever they are calling themself's this week, sounds like you got a jumped up mot tester who thinks he's god.
I had one like that, was really smacking the hell out of the underside floor of the car with a pointed weld chipping hammer, politely told him your only supposed to prod at it, not beat it to death and as it's only just 3 years old it's hardly lightly to be riddled with rust.
Obviously that upset him, as later he informed me later he had failed it on the led sidelights / led headlights being to blue and I'd need to change them, WTF it came from the factory like that. But with typical small man complex he was having none of that and as far as he was concerned it's a fail
So one call to VOSA and the garage head office, and I left with the pass certificate and the mot for free and hopefully he got kicked round the test center by his boss for being a ****:D
