Hi

Ive been looking into replacing my current exhaust as it had some welding work done on it and its starting to drop again.

I cant seem to find a like for like replacement, are there any direct replacements for the original one or do I need to look at a Miltek for example?

Thanks for any help

I think you can get a OEM one form main dealers still, but its pricey.

plenty of aftermarket options tho, miltek, cobra, scorpion, piper, or even a powerflow place could make one for you.

Thanks, I was checking on Eurocar parts and G&S and couldn't find anything, looks like its gonna be an expensive change :)

My cobra with labour was cheaper than the oem one when mine started dropping? Always worth a look into, sounds way better. Mines non resonated, but isnt too loud to turn heads for the wrong reasons

I've had a stainless steel exhaust put on my tfsi fr, the standard one didn't give the noise required lol. new one does the job great and was only £160.

OEM cat back is £500. Milltek/Scorpion £380ish

There isn't a pattern part so you won't find a cheapo version at Euro car parts

Fwiw when I put a resonated milltek on my otherwise standard system you could hardly tell noise wise that anything had changed. Maybe a slightly deeper tone on the outside but nothing inside.

In fact, with a pipewerx downpipe, decat and said cat back it's still not loud. Hardly boot it in tunnels because it's so quiet.

can't post a pic of mine as haven't posted enough lol. but mine has had the back box removed and the noise is brilliant now. can be quite if I want (below 3k revs) bit roars most of the time lol
