Done another trackday, once again performed superbly and never let me down ,
Got my eyes on a forged engine that's become available , freshly built ,
Hoping to do a deal on that and I a k300 from beachbuggy turbos to go with it ,

Thanks for the kind words ,
I have just purchased a second toledo , it's a 2.3V5 , I'm going to be breaking for spares as off tomorrow if anybody wants anything,
I'm having the satnav console so that's taken , but has a leather electric interior (worn boulster ) and other goodies , if you want anything cheap let me know I'm in Swindon will post up to a reasonable size item :)

So i was curious, how much you currently got in HP and NM and howuch boost you got. Lately im really into power to weight ratios and 100-200 times. I've got a sleeper myself and just started a readers ride topic.

I owned a Seat Leon MK1 1.8 20vt before running on 240HP and 340NM, it was quick. K03s, FMIC, 3inch downpipe, removed cat and mid demper. And ofcourse a chip by JD Engineering from the netherlands. Not the standard chip but made for the car on a dyno. It was a quick car but nothing compared to my Ibiza, the best way to gain some cheap power win is to simply lose weight. Your power to weight ratio wil increase, and cause i saw you are doing track days it would def be usefull.

im running 253 bhp and 300 FT-lb (406 NM)
i have considered the weight reduction route but i use it everyday as a family wagon and i like my comfort , i never intend for it to be a hardcore track toy , just love abit off power when sat in an arm chair ,

ive got to many mods to list like your self , the KO3s is maxed out now , the K300 beach buggy turbo will hold 300bhp and ill need the forged engines as 300ft-lb is the rods max before getting risky ,

Oh thats the max of a K03s and also you are running almost on max NM 420 is at the very limit. But if you can make the torque come in slowly you would be fine. As some tuners wil let the torque kick in at full force. Then you have a problem.

Im curious about the beachbuggy turbo setup and how your car wil perform. Its normal for a daily to have comfort but i'm stripping my Ibiza 6k2 sometimes for a couple of weeks, so that i can have some extra fun with it haha

Haha , I will strip it for next years nurburgring trip and I'll see if it does any better ,
Probably to your disgust , this weeks mods have added some weight haha

I purchased a SECOND toledo I'm calling terry , he was a non runner when I got him and traced it back to the fuel pump relay 409 , with that replaced he runs faultless once again

he's a top spec v5 , sat nav , auto rain sensing wipers , electric leather seats, reardim mirror ,rear sun blind ,power socket in boot, interior lights on sun visor , a few goodies indeed , as a lot of you know the sat nav dash is like hens teeth, so I found it easier to get another car just for that !

Also ordered a kenwood DDX4016DAB waiting on that to arrive,

Terry is for sale again now minus the satnav with MOT until August next year . Will let go for it very very cheap if anybody is after a nice car , it's got 180K on it but to be fair to it runs mint with loads of service history.

The steering wheel cost me about £140 , it's a standard wheel that's been modified and takes standard airbag comes from Poland but only took a few days too come , been on a month or two now and still looks new

eBay item no 162343442517

he makes them custom too what ever you want obviously alacantara costs more so I went for leather but doesn't always list all his options so best to email him with your requirements

Thanks for the kind comments :)

Recently i have been having door lock issues ,
sometimes passenger rear door wont lock and drivers door stopped un-locking from the outside so i set about changing the door locks , since ive owned it i have done n/s/f and o/s/r , so now is done n/s/r and o/s/f i hope i dont have any more lock issues , never had leaky doors as re-sealed them soon as i got the car .

Excuse the poor sealer job that one was an emergency seal all done properly with butyl strip now

After doing my door locks i thought i would investigate why i keep getting mayo on my dip stick at the very top near the handle but nothing in the oil or water , i had not checked my catch can in a very long time if im honest , and found it was soo full all the sh*t was going back in my inlet and doing the rounds and causing the mayo / condensation on the dip stick , since ive drained it no more mayo

Im back on track this Saturday at castle combe again to give the car some sh*t as ever .

Not had a great week this week
Firstly my miltek exhaust cracked , despite the system costing £1500 as I didn't have the receipt they wanted me to buy a new back box at £250 , I kindly declined and told them I will weld it up properly my self as when you start googling they are known for poor welding !

So I've welded it up , I'm on my way home and dropping some triumph 675 wheels off to a friend who lives in the sticks , hit a massive pothole and did this to the rear shock mount

That was a febi bilstein one too !
So changed that today luckily wheels and shock okay

To cheer me up got some more track time in :)

Some bad news this week but we have a happy ending ,
I got home from work on Friday evening and I couldn't get the car into reverse , I left it for half hour went inside and came out and it went in to reverse followed by a loud bang from the gearbox . I instantly knew what the problem as it's fairly common on the 02M box

The shifter fork is held on with a brass / cheap rivett , this brakes and the fork falls in the box , luckily I turned it off straight away and caused no issues ,

Removed the box found the bit , fitted a nut bolt and welded it in place and refitted all by Sunday and we are back happy motoring for the price off a hub nut some gearbox oil and some hours put in by me and my friends but this has resulted in having to take a cooper s engine out tomorrow.

One box

The broken off fork

Where it came from

Back on ready to weld nut on

And gearbox shot

Was desperate to fix as have a track day next Monday otherwise LSD would have been ordered

A few off us planned a short Nurburgring trip over a long weekend . Set off on Sunday morning at 4.30 am and arrived around 2pm local time not a bad journey .

Got a sneaky lap in that evening ready for my tuition the following day .

Had the tuition got my laps down to 9minutes and was really please .

Rick ring was on and a local bank holiday so the place was on fire and cars everywhere all main roads in and out was a no go , so we parked across the road dumped cars and went for a walk done some shopping got some food and did some car spotting and met boosted borris over at Apex (check him out on YouTube )

We was discussing our laps and I was telling the boys my brakes felt off on the end off my last lap , got back to the cars traffic had died down now so drove off to brunchen ( YouTube corner sorry for spelling )
On the way the problem became aparebt my pads where shot , when we liked in to YouTube corner they went metal to metal and they where new when we left and the ring isn't exactly brake heavy in my eyes

So it's 3pm , bank holiday Monday , nowhere was open apart from a place called special brakes , we call him and he had what I needed , we arrive get the pads to find there €179 ! I knew ring parts where stupid but this was almost bad enough to make me sit down , anyways I wasn't prepared to have an accident or hurt an innocent party on my way home so I laid up and left with my EBC RED STUFF :(,
this was his cheapest option to get me home .

We get back to the euro tunnel and my tyre goes down AGAIN! Been battling with this tyre for ages , new tyre but it goes down , no puncture just goes down once after a month offf it being on, had it re sealed twice now , think I've got a bad valve , pumped up held air and never went down again since ,

Other than that car did 2000 miles , used no oil or water and still feels fresh so big up to the torpedo for looking after me once again, we even made it on YouTube thanks to the back end getting slightly out off shape mid corner !
