Near side front wheel getting hot

Hi, I have just got a 59 plate exeo sport a couple of weeks ago and yesterday I got out of the car and could smell burning coming from the passenger side front wheel, the wheel itself was hot, I checked the others these were okay, it still drives alright and the brake is not seized on as it rolls on an incline, I was wondering if anyone else had the same problems, pads appear to be quite new but disks look old.

There are no noises like a wheel bearing going so was thinking it may be a stuck caliper, does anyone know of any other problems to affect these cars?

Cheers

Sounds like symptoms of stuck caliper if only one wheel is hot. Do as caldi mentions and see how it feels to rotate. It will almost always roll on an incline unless the brakes were well and truly seized!

Hi
i would be very suprised if a worn disc caused it ,
Its more likely going to be a sticking caliper , pads stuck in the carrier or a flexi hose breaking down internally which stop the return flow of fluid when the peddle is released
Hope this helps

Thanks for the replies lads, had new pads n disks fitted and while it was being done the caliper was checked, it was siezed solid, new caliper later and everything is fine now, had the wheels refurbished while they were off, car looks great now.
