Can anyone diagnose this problem? Boost/misfire?

Hi, new to the forum I've got an issue with my fr 1.8t, it drives fine when off boost, but if I put my foot to the floor when in cruising in 3rd, 4th or 5th the boost builds slower than usual and then dumps repeatedly, feels almost like the clutch is slipping then a series of bad misfires

Has anyone had similar issues or know what might cause this?

Also, just done a scan with the cheepo code reader which didn't bring anything up

Get a real vcds code read. I'd be looking in the direction of coil packs though.
