Hey everyone just brought a 2015 leon 1.4tsi fr (150bhp) absolutely brilliant car so far. I'm just really finding it hard to find out if the car has a cambelt or a chain. Looked on here and the web, could someone please clarify for me. Much appreciated

I was told when I bought our 1.4 tSi SE 3 door SC, that it was chain.
Lately I have been led to believe that it is belt driven.
I think it the cam belt is replaced every 5 years OR at 60,000-120,000 miles.
Also advisable to replace the water pump at the same time. If water pump replaced at the same time it will be of the order of £100 cheaper than if the water pump needs replaced by itself.
Need to check latest prices on line but I believe for the petrol a cambelt change cost about £329 and if replaced at the same time the water pump costs another £130. (The diesel cam belt is around £369)

HOWEVER:- If based on mileage the change is 60,000-120,000 miles. This is where I become confused.
Q1) Is the cam belt inspected at 60,000miles and only replaced if it needs to be until it reaches 120,000 miles when it should definitely be replaced?
Q2) If the car is older than 5 years but the mileage stays below 60,000 miles does the cam belt need replaced at all?

Maybe those more knowledgeable can advise me.

My understanding is that it's 5years or 60k miles. It needs changed at which ever comes soonest.
