Hi

Have a 143 ST Diesel and intending to get it remapped this summer but I'd prefer to update the front brakes first. From what I can see the 170 uses the same calipers and pads so all I need to do is fit the larger discs and the calliper carriers.

Can somebody confirm that's all that's needed before I get the parts.

Only going from experience in upgrading the brake size on my mk1 Leon, I just used bigger calliper carriers and bigger discs, the same that were on the petrol Cupras. For some reason Seat thought the Cupra TDIs didn't need the same size. Size wise it went from 288mm up to 312mm.

I would imagine the same would be for the ST 143s and the 170s respectively.

A quick search has confirmed the following

143 - Front 288mm & Rear 245mm
170 - Front 312mm & Rear 255mm

The only other item needed was the stone guard, as the discs are bigger so are these guards.
