Hi All, long time since I have posted on this board.

I currently (still) have a 2004 MK1 LC 180T. this has done me well in the last 10 years or so. but Its time for a new car. I have been looking at the 2.0 TDI FR and I have come across a supercopa that is not too far away from me, which I think looks really nice.
I am planning on going down to see it next week but wanted to check if there is a minimum spec that they come with? do they all have Sat Nav, reverse sensors etc? I have had a quick look online but couldn't see anything so thought I would ask on here. Are there any points to look out for on a test drive or in general?

Also - If I got this, I'd map it almost straight away, any advice on which company is good to use in the North East?

car I am looking at is here

Cheers

The supercopa came with pretty much everything the only extra options really were DSG gearbox, and different colour wheels

Aye, the Auto Trader post says its got Golf R wheels and a few subtle mods, but no remap or engine mods. are there any engine mods to consider before a remap?

stage 1 remap will take it to about 205bhp 420nm torque with no engine mods at all , you could remove the dpf for maybe another 10bhp anymore than that you'd probably have to look at upgrading the turbo ,

Mine has a couple of extra options, rear airbags, armrest, spare wheel rather than repair kit, leather interior.

The base spec is high, shame it loses the FR+ front parking sensors though.

I think that would do as it would be about the same as my LC now. cheers for the info.

For a remap most would say big fish tuning in Stokesley but you also have revolution in Gateshead also powerflow in Shiremoor and all depends on you wanting to travel

Painter mate's eagle eye spotted a few small parking dents on the car which the garage are sorting today or tomorrow and then I'll pick it up on Wednesday. Looking forward to getting it

I am looking at the forums and about servicing. I suspect I will know once I get the car with the manual, but I see there are a few different models of Engines, 170 TDI, 170 TDI CR etc

can someone state what engine is in the supercopa (if they are all the same) and what CR means? is this better than the other engine?
will the engine have a timing belt or chain?
I work in IT and don't know a great deal about mechanics ads you can probably tell...

Cheers!

The diesel engine in the supercopa is CR170 TDI , Cr stands for common rail ,to keep it simple it's to do with the way the fuel goes in to the engine.
And they have a timing belt

It's a CR170, i suspect CR is for common rail.

CR's ate better than PD's

It has a timing belt, changed on mileage circa 120000 miles, but most get it done at 5 years as SEAT warranty is 5 years.
