With many cuts and grazes to my hand!
Ordered spare grills from vagoem and working on just one for now. May need to order a replacement for this as I've had a few ideas since doing it.
Taken a Stanley knife to cutting out the open part of the grill (where the mesh sits) and then used different grade wet and dry to sand it smooth. Cut some mesh to the right size and placed it inside the surround.
I'm thinking now that I want to make a groove inside the surround that the mesh will sit inside, and hide the glue marks. I definitely need some better metal snips and new fingers (have various cuts and splinters and grazes).
I have some black gloss spray left over from when I painted my exhaust - although it's exhaust spray, I'm wondering whether it'll work on this. Saves me having to wrap it.
