Rich. The car looks so well in the pics. Shame it's pretty dead on here these days as yours deserve far more views than it has got!

Stunning.

Cheers Tom, yours has been a fine example over the years and have learnt a lot from what you've done with yours. Be a shame to see it go :(

This forum used to be so handy, compared to FB anyway lol

Hi mate...
Cars looking awesome, dude. Can I ask what products, methods your using to get that shine?
Gonna give mine a polish soon and I want that nice, deep shine you've managed to pull off.
Keep up the good work

Spring update.

Over the winter I managed to get my hands on some MK4 Golf anniversary aero wiper arms and for a bargain as well. The downside to these arms is the passenger being ever so slightly longer than the standard leon one. A lot of people adjust the arm upwards to suit the leons windscreen, but I just went for a shorter Bosch blade and a longer than usual drivers one.

Next up was replacing the gear linkage bushes to the 42 draft solid metal ones. A big improvement in gear changing, feels nice and tight when shifting gears now. Would definitely recommend this mod to anyone.
I also painted the OE shifter black to smarten it up a tad.

Few shots of the car just before Xmas, still scrubs up well even if she is over 13 years old now.

Last weekend was oil change time, the usual Valvoline 5w40 was used and a Mahle oil filter to compliment.

Finally purchased a new splitter as the old one was finished!!

Cupra R has never looked right without a splitter.

Last but not least was the purchase of genuine Audi TT jacking point covers, which in my opinion should have come standard on the leons but I guess that was Seat cutting costs. Anyway these were very simple to fit, all that was needed to do was removethe rubber grommets on all 4 jacking points near the sills. Then using a jack I pushed these into the holes and job was a gooden.

I have checked all posts on this thread and really all I can say keep up good work mate. You are doing awesome. I got 2001 Seat Toledo and I am keeping it up stock but in almost really perfect condition. Only bad thing is that it's diesel 81 kW(Remapped) and it has over 335 k kilometers :)

Been way too long since I've updated this thread. Still currently have the car and now looking to get the beast wrapped as paint is looking sorry for itself. Not the worst you'll see but in my eyes it's not perfect.
Back in May I had a fantastic trip to Niki @ R tech for a stage 2 map which produced a very healthy 280bhp and 296 ft lb of torque. This totally transformed the feel and power delivery completely and was very glad to have replace my awful spikey AMD flash map! Niki is still the man to go to and he maybe going away from the 1.8T's but he's still ahead of everyone else especially customer service wise.

Have replaced the rear discs and pads once again for some Godspeed Grooved type and Bosch pads, so far so good.

All in all once I've had the car wrapped I will start other little bits ready for my last year of ownership in 2019!
