2010 Facelift Cupra - Timing belt or chain?

Both.
Timing belt on left hand side drives one camshaft pulley and a short chain the opposite end of cylinder head drives 2nd camshaft

Ok thanks for the info Scott... So same replacement timeframes etc as older VAG engines, 4/5 years or miles whatever comes first. (Check manual!)

These MK2 facelift cupras are engine code ea113 not ea888?

Correct EA113.
888 are Mk3 and all latest VAG 2.0 TFSI

My SEAT dealer uses a 4 year rule for the Cambelt.

I may change the chain tensioner on mine shortly as I think is may be slow to tension occasionally.
