Hi Guys! I am new to the forum and just wanted to say HELLOOOO! I drive a 57 Plate Seat Leon FR in red, I have currently had the DPF removed and done a stage one remap and is running at around 205-210 BHP.

Also have upgraded the standard head unit to the RNS510 with DAB - Had to add the antenna also new fascia.

Looking for new Ideas so please shout up if you think anything would look good.

Hi JTorra! DPF removal was the best thing I did to be honest, Car feels so much smoother and the power of the remap is amazing. (Lets hope VOSA don't make changes to the dpf anytime soon).

Are you thinking of doing yours? Have you done anything good?

Nisar where did you go for your remap and the DPF removal? I like near Sheffield and looking into having this done to mine, if you don't mind me asking also cost thanks

Hi Bully007, I ended up getting my dpf and remap done in bradford. A place called west yorkshire tuning, they have a quattro rolling road and the owners are sound. There is a place called SLT who are really good in sheffield but they owners a mardy basta**

For future reference if remove egr the engine runs cooler and with Dpf, CAT and egr removed you would be looking at around 240bhp 450 lb ft torque. That's the max you can get without changing injectors. But must note that car becomes very toxic on exhaust fumes.
Performance air filter in standard air box is cheaper than induction kit with simular gains. Then full stainless exhaust makes her sound nicer. Get lovely roar from engine and exhaust together, also loud dump of air when let off accelerator...
This is what's been done to my FR mk2.
Future mods be large intercooler with solid boost pipes for better and cooler air flow. Hence higher compression n more power...
If even more power required then injectors and 4 branch manifold with bigger turbo and upgraded MAP sensor to 4 bar can get you up to the 300 bhp range...

Hi Shaggy's FR TDI, sounds really good. I think I am going to upgrade the filter and the exhaust.

Bully007, I paid £300 for the removal of the DPF and remap but I got two cars done at once so the guy did me a deal, Usually its £350.

Hello mate
Yeah sound good.only thing back box alone not really do much, sound slightly changes pitch. Would recommend full stainless with 70mm pipe, this would give more sound and power as exhaust gas flows quicker.
I check these pics.
I was reading on here about flaps in inlet manifold on the pd170 engines and not the pd140. So I tried to move actuator for it with my vaccum tester and no movement even by hand. So I removed manifold and yep seized solid lol.
Mess on floor came out of manifold. Then decided remove cam cover as noticed black sludge in slots on side of head and pic shows how bad. So now I need to remove head and sump to clean properly as can't do head whilst attach as might block oil return holes a blow up engine. Considering if enough £ to replace cam bearings, valve stem seals, rockers etc oh and re bed valves. Will also check block obviously and possibly change bearings and piston rings as they are cheap, n would make engine run smoother and noise reduction n with head done would go like rocket again.
